Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2013 stands for a demanding vintage that could only be corked by experienced craftsmen like those of Louis Roederer. Here you can buy the popular champagne with a gift box.

Production

The year 2013 was a real challenge in Champagne: The weather was very mixed, and instead of the heat typical of late summer, mild temperatures with little sunshine prevailed. The very lean harvest, however, showed a high degree of ripeness, giving the resulting champagnes full-bodied structures. The Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2013 in particular can live on this.

The assemblage of the wine consists of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay. Of these, 15% were vinified in oak barrels.

Tasting

The Cristal Rosé 2013 in the glass is salmon-coloured with golden reflections and a delicate and durable mousse.

On the nose it is rather reserved with subtle, late aromas of red fruits (raspberries, wild strawberries and other wild berries), mandarins, yuzu, almonds and toasted notes. The bouquet is rounded off with delicate notes of bergamot and verbena.

The palate is captivating with the full-bodied fleshiness of the wine, which is kept wonderfully light thanks to the fine mousse. The fruitiness from the nose continues here and is accompanied by mineral acidity.

Blend:  70% Corvina and Corvina grossa, 20% Rondinella, 5% Croatina, 5% Oseleta

Critical Acclaim

JS95
James Suckling
Pungent nose of violets, amarena cherries, dried figs and lightly charred oak. Some toffee notes emerge with air, together with more pressed flowers. Not so much full-bodied as full-flavored, with silky, fine and polished tannins. Very young and driven at the moment. Lacks the depth and complexity of more fortunate vintages, but still shows exceptional quality. Try from 2024.
WS93
Wine Spectator
A compact, focused red, this presents pretty violet, medicinal herb and anise notes on the nose as it slowly expands -- flavors that are more subdued at first on the palate. This is supported by dense, plushly textured tannins, flavors of mulled cherry, dark chocolate and amaro, loamy earth and smoke that are slowly revealed, gaining momentum and lingering on the long finish. Give this some air or time in the glass to allow it to shine brightest. Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta. Best from 2024 through 2032.

Back in 2006, this estate farmed approximately 25 hectares of vines, and the Valpolicella was just beginning to feel its new celebrity status, thanks to a new generation of vintners (to come after Quintarelli and Dal Forno) showing impressive results. The 2006 Amarone della Valpolicella Monte Lodoletta was born in a vintage that was not easy: It saw hail and above-average rainfall for much of the growing season. This expression opens to an inky dark appearance and heavy aromas of dried fruit, pressed blackberries and sun-dried prunes. There is a slightly sweeter side to this vintage (the residual sugar is up to ten grams per liter), and the mouthfeel offers enormous volume and richness. You get some jammy and raisiny fruit at the back. Like the 1990 vintage also tastes in this retrospective, this bottle from the 2006 vintage was slow to open and felt a bit closed initially. In fact, I gave it 94 points at that time. However, I recently opened a bottle of this same wine that I had in my cellar, and it was just stunning. It showed none of the shyness that I described above. Inspired by that second magical bottle, I went back and adjusted the drinking window and my score to the one you see here. (ML)" (09/2019)

Bollinger's 2008 La Grande Année is superb, wafting from the glass with aromas of crisp orchard fruit, ripe lemons, honeycomb, warm biscuits, dried white flowers and a delicate top note of walnuts and fino sherry. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, broad and vinous, with a beautifully refined mousse, superb concentration at the tightly wound core, incisive acids and a supremely elegant intermingling of Bollinger's oxidative stylistic signatures with fresh, vibrant fruit. The finish is long, precise and chalky. This is a Grande Année built for the cellar—the real excitement will come with a bit more bottle age—but this is already a thrilling Champagne in the making. Finished with eight grams per liter dosage, it was disgorged by hand in July 2018. This is also the first vintage of Grande Année to be bottled in Bollinger's new narrower-necked 1846 bottle, which should make for a slower evolving wine.-William Kelley, Mar 2019

Auchentoshan Select

Famed for its exclusive use of triple distillation, Auchentoshan is based on the outskirts of Glasgow and was owned for the duration of the 1960s by Tennents brewery. They sold it to Eadie Cairns at the end of the decade, who upgraded the site and began officially bottling it as a single malt. The distillery passed through the hands of Morrison Bowmore before becoming part of the Beam Suntory table today. Unusually, none of the Auchentoshan output is reserved for blends, meaning there has been a wealth of distillery bottled single casks and independent releases throughout the years.

Prior to the launch of the Three Wood, this was the introductory single malt from Authentoshan. The Select was moved to their duty free range in 2008 before it was eventually discontinued.

This bottle was part of a private collection until recently. If you have any questions or would like more photos just ask!

Wine Profile: Our 2021 Napa Valley Chardonnay is intended to be the best of both worlds stylistically. The nose opens with rich and layered aromas of pear, mandarine, tuberose, vanilla and oak spice. The palate is met with flavors of brioche, apple pie, lemon curd and fresh pineapple. It has a creamy texture reminiscent of creme brulee with a finish that is bright and complex with incredible length.

Primary Vineyards:
Ahmann Vineyard—Carneros: Carneros (38%): Located in Carneros near the Huichica Creek, this vineyard has the unique attributes of a cool growing season complemented by long slow ripening. The vineyard creates flavors of apple and citrus with the preservation of acidity and a low pH. Clone 4.

Rancho Sarco: Located in the Napa Valley AVA, on the north east border of the town of Napa, the soil is a gravelly clay loam that supports a variety of grapes. This Chardonnay ripens to produce flavors of pineapple, apple, peach and banana. Clone 4.

Huichica Vineyard—Carneros : Located off of Duhig Road, in the Napa Carneros AVA, this beautiful vineyard resides on gently sloping hillside with 8x4 spacing. The vines are planted in sedimentary clay loam and experience the cool marine breezes from the San Pablo Bay.

Wine Profile: Dark ruby in color, the fruit in the aroma is black cherry, blueberry and red raspberry. The bright fruit is complimented with dark chocolate, black pepper, forest floor, aromatic cedar and leather notes. The oak spice is integrated, adding to the overall complexity. The texture on the palate has a smooth entry, with dark cherry flavor. The tannins are well resolved yet promise the ability for long aging. The fruit acidity provides a very pleasant long finish.

Primary Vineyards: 100% Bosche Vineyard, a small 22-acre vineyard located west of Hwy. 29, on the famed Rutherford Bench, the Bosché Vineyard has very deep gravelly soils. A seasonal creek crosses the vineyard which indicates the water table to be high in the spring, providing water and nutrients for new shoot growth. As veraison approaches the water table drops, stressing the wines and intensifying the dark velvety fruit flavors. This is a natural area to grow Bordeaux varietals with dry farming or minimal drip irrigation.

Life span in a proper cellar 20-30 years.

Made with a diverse combination of dark red grapes to bestow distinct quality and character, The Prisoner Napa Valley Red Blend Red Wine is luscious, smooth, and balanced. This red California wine is inspired by the blended wines that were made by Italian immigrants who originally settled in Napa Valley. Crafted with an unlikely mix of zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah, syrah, and charbono, this dark red wine blend features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. These scents give way to persistent tastes of raspberry, boysenberry, and pomegranate with a lingering vanilla flavor. Barrel aging in a combination of old and new, French and American oak barrels brings out the full flavors of this Napa Valley wine, making it a great match for grilled meats, especially when they are topped with sweet or tomato-based sauces. For a lusciously smooth finish that lingers on the palate, serve this delicious red wine at a holiday dinner, pouring it into holiday wine glasses, or gather around the fireplace in Christmas pajamas and warm up while enjoying a glass of this California wine. A unique wine for the holidays and New Year's Eve, this red blend makes a great addition to wine and cheese gift sets and other wine gift baskets. For best taste, store this red wine bottle at room temperature but chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

WA 98 "Sugarloaf is a cooler site in south Napa, above a quarry. It usually allows for a longer hang time, often lending a minty or herbal lift to this label. The deep garnet-purple colored 2012 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Deep garnet colored, it offers up notes of fruitcake, exotic spices, prunes, black truffles and Morello cherries with hints of garrigue, tilled earth and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a firm foundation of ripe, grainy, tannins supporting the bright, vibrant fruit, finishing long and with a minty lift. 225 cases were made. The Coombsville AVA is Napa Valley’s southernmost growing region for Cabernet Sauvignon, and our estate was among its first vineyards planted in 1998. Nestled into the rocky ruins of an ancient caldera, volcanic soils and marine breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay combine to offer polish and structure alongside consistent Napa ripeness. It is a special corner of Napa that allows us to fully express the land as we continue to pursue our craft of perfecting a modern classic.

The Pact 2019 lives up to Faust legend with beautiful dark blueberry and blackberry aromas over layers of crushed-rock minerality, haunting forest notes and hints of violet. With the texture of velvet—luxuriously dense—the palate wraps that core of blue and back fruit with the barest edge of bright cherry spiced with star anise and savory dried tarragon. Silky tannins and generous ripe fruit linger through an endless, vibrant finish. There’s a long life ahead for this Cabernet.

Macallan 12 Year Old Early 2000s Round Bottle

When Macallan assumed the responsibility for their own bottlings from Campbell, Hope & King in 1980, they inherited both an 8 and 12 year old age-statement release, quickly adding a new 10 year old into the mix as well. The 12 year old however was the firm favourite, and is the only of the three still in production today, bottled as part of the Sherry Oak Cask line of the core range.

This is the packaging used between 1999 and 2004. Imported to the USA by Remy Amerique, New York.

About the distillery

Glen Mhor distillery was founded in 1892 by John Birnie (formerly Managing Director of Glen Albyn (1910 to 1916 mayor of Inverness) and John Mackinlay under the name of Glen Mhor ("glen vohr", Scottish Gaelic gleann mhor), named after the tectonic rejection of the Great Glen in which it lay.  The distillery began producing whisky on 8 December 1894.

On March 8, 1983, the last whisky was distilled and the buildings were demolished in October 1986.  Today there is a supermarket on the site.

Laphroaig is a highly-acclaimed brand of premium Islay single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Larphoraig Distillery,
founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston. The brand has changed hands multiple times over the years beginning in
the 1960s until it was purchased by Beam Suntory of Suntory Holdings in 2014. Laphroaig is recognized as producing some of
the most deeply flavored Scotch whiskies on the market and is the only whisky to carry the Royal Warrant of the Prince of
Wales, awarded in 1994. The brand offers a range of products including several very rare and expensive expressions such as
their discontinued 18 year old iteration (last offered in 2015). Notably, Laphroaig is unlike many other blended Scotch makers
in that it malts its own barley. The barley is finished in special kilns with over 205 years of seasoning – leaving a truly defining
note that Laphroaig fans have come to know and crave.

*Please note this product does not come with a box* Originally
released around 2000, this great dram is becoming rarer and rarer.
Laphroaig 30yo has garnered many plaudits, including a Double Gold
Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2005.

The name Lammerlaw relates to the Lammerlaw mountain range which is located some 30 miles westward of Dunedin. The malt blends chosen for Lammerlaw are distilled in the same traditions of of the Scotch whisky industry, distilled more than 10 years ago, carefully maturing in imported oak casks at our warehouse on the Taieri Plains.

Unfortunately the blends that make up Lammerlaw are not in abundant supply, which necessitates this particular whisky being restricted in availability.
