Made from the finest blue agave plants in Mexico, Clase Azule Reposado Tequila offers a complex and sophisticated flavor. Whether you're looking for a tequila as a present for a loved one or something you can enjoy either by itself or paired with other liquids, check out Clase Azul Reposado Tequila. Every bottle is created in Mexico and inspired by traditional recipes and values. The bottles themselves are a work of art. In fact, they are hand-crafted and painted individually, so no bottle is like any other. While you're sipping your Clase Azul Reposado Tequila, you'll enjoy the scents of spice, cream soda, caramel and agave. The flavors of this tequila include apple cider, jasmine, cinnamon and honey. To start, agave plants are harvested in the Jalisco Highlands, then slowly cooked. The hearts of the agave plant are put in brick ovens and steamed to bring out the sugars. After this, the plants are crushed and fermented. Using a unique distillation process, only the very purest of the liquid is chosen. This tequila is then aged in previously used American oak barrels for eight months. This helps ensure that the flavor is perfect in every case.

Far Niente Winery is located in Oakville, an area famous for Napa Valley Cabernet, and home to our estate Martin Stelling Vineyard from which we’ve been producing our Cabernets since 1982. The abundant 2012 vintage is approachable, even in its youth, with bold, ripe, fruit and mouth-filling tannins typical of the Far Niente house style. After several cool and challenging growing seasons, the weather in 2012 was nearly perfect. March brought heavy spring rains, sustaining the vines through the season. Temperatures were ideal for budbreak, flowering and fruit set, and the summer months brought warm days and cool nights without extreme weather events. These conditions allowed the vines to establish a large, but balanced crop, which steadily ripened until our Cabernet harvest began in early October. Mother Nature held back on her fall rains, enabling us to bring in each block at optimal ripeness before the end of the month. The 2012 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of mixed berry fruit, boysenberry, chocolate covered cherries, layered with hints of graphite and toasted oak. On the palate, a smooth entry is followed by intense, ripe berry notes. This wine is focused and silky through the midpalate, building to a finish with broad tannins and notes of cedar and toasted oak.

There is a level of tension at its core, indicating nearly timeless potential for cellaring.

The Iconic Napa Valley red, Quintessa is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend from estate vineyards in the heart of the Rutherford Bench district. The estate is farmed using organic and biodynamic techniques, and each year they make a deeper connection between the soils and the terroir, interpreting the property holistically.

The wine is a blend that can include some or all of the five varietals grown on the estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Fruit from each component block of Quintessa is harvested, sorted, then gravity fed into either oak or stainless steel fermentation tanks. Once fermentation and maceration are complete, each block of wine is aged separately for up to two years in French oak barrels. After aging, the components are brought together and the final blend is created.

This 2018 is the latest release. It's a blend of  92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Carmenere and 1% Petit Verdot aged 20 months in 62% new French oak barrels.

James Suckling scored this 99 points saying "This is beautifully polished with firm, dusty tannins to the blue fruit, as well as chocolate and cedar character. Some much earthier character, too, from mushrooms to bark. Forest flowers. Perfumed. It’s full-bodied with round tannins and a soft, creamy finish. Some iron and iodine to this. So attractive at the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes."

Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 98 points saying "This is an exceptional vintage of this exceptional wine, its foundation built around 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, with dustings of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Beautiful in berry fruit, textured and refined tannin and hints of lavender, licorice and sage, it has complexity and energy in equal measure, lengthy and beautifully focused, a truly impressive achievement of site, vintage and winemaker."

Ferrand Cognac Selection Des Anges, a Heavenly Cognac from the Premier Cru

Ferrand Cognac has made a name for itself thanks to its exclusive use of Premier Cru terroir eaux-de-vie, the chalky soil of Grande Champagne is particularly famous for producing some of the highest quality Cognacs the region has to offer.

For the Ferrand family, now on their fifth generation of cellar master, blending is an art form and each Cognac is a masterpiece in its own right. This passion, combined with the high quality ingredients and traditional "on the lees" distillation process, creates something quite magical, heavenly even. It's no wonder that the Ferrand Selection des Anges Cognac has won so many awards.

Of course, when we talk about Angels in Cognac this is a reference to the ancient term "the Angels share", taken during the long maturation process as the Cognac slowly evaporates over time. As the Angels take their share, flavors are refined and intensified, creating a sublime sensory experience with a higher concentration of aromas the longer the Cognac ages.

This particular selection by Maison Ferrand has an average age of 30 years, meaning the Angels have had their fair share and what's left is a true treat for the senses that will please the palate of even the most discerning Cognac connoisseur.

The 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Monte Lodoletta keeps me at the edge of the glass to take in its darkly alluring bouquet of dusty black currants and dried flowers, with hints of blood orange offset by sweet rose. While currently youthful and understated, it continues to open and deepen with each swirl. This is silky and cool-toned in feel, savory to the core, with a dense wave of mineral-tinged dark red fruits carried across a core of vibrant acidity. Autumnal spices form toward the close. The 2016 is inward and saturating, building in fine tannins that clench the palate through the finale, promising a long, long life. This is a masterpiece in the making, and while already bottled, it will not be released until 2023. Production was again down by 50% in 2016 due to hail.

About Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum

Born in southern Burgundy, Alexandre Gabriel spent his youth working on his family's farm in central France. His grandfather, a strict disciplinarian, taught Alexandre how to graft a tree, milk a cow and harvest grapes. "For my grandfather, the only wealth is the one from the land," says Alexandre, fondly. After studying at the Macalester College in Minnesota and earning a degree in Lyon, Gabriel began working at Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest cognac houses in France.

During his tenure at Maison Ferrand, Gabriel would dispose of used cognac casks by selling them to distilleries in Scotland and the Caribbean. "Our love affair with rum began when we sold the prized casks that once held our Cognac to rum producers, and we fell in love with their product," says Alexandre. Centuries ago, Caribbean rum producers would send casks of rum to Europe and the United States, where the rum would mature before it was bottled and sold to the public. "This is a practice that was done more commonly in the past but has almost disappeared now. We thought who better than Ferrand, with our know-how and exceptional casks, to resurrect this ancient technique."

Plantation 20th Anniversary Extra Old Barbados Rum represents the magnum opus of Gabriel's efforts to source the finest Caribbean rum and nurture it to fruition.

The Barbados rum is distilled from sugar cane, which is harvested and then crushed immediately in order to minimize the deterioration of the raw sugar. After the cane has been crushed, the remaining juice is fermented and then distilled through a combination of pot and column stills. While the column still produces a lighter, more sweet rum, the pot still produces a heavier and more vicious spirit.

Once the rum has been distilled, it is aged in used bourbon casks in the Caribbean for years. After its initial maturation, the rum is transported to Château de Bonbonnet in Cognac, France, where it is poured from the bourbon casks into small, French oak casks that were previously used to age cognac. "We use a technique called "élevage", says Alexandre, "which I guess can be translated to "nurturing'. In this case, each cask is tasted every 3 months. This way we see how the rum evolves. If it needs more tannins, we transfer it to a cask in which we have exchanged several staves for brand new wood, although we would never replace too much at a time. If it is a bit aggressive and needs rounding, we transfer it to one of our damp cellars. If it is a bit too lush and needs some structure, it goes to a dryer cellar."

This dual maturation process — the rum rests for an additional 12 to 18 months in the used cognac casks — imparts a signature round and creamy flavor profile to Plantation 20th Anniversary Rum. After aging, the rum is slowly hydrated over a period of months in order to preserve the harmony of the flavors. Then, each batch is bottled in a stunning decanter.

Plantation 20th Anniversary Extra Old Barbados Rum earned the Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011, and a score of 94 points from the Beverage Testing Institute.

"It is a very difficult thing to get right," says Alexandre of the dual maturation process, "but when done well, it's paradise. In the Caribbean, Plantation Rums are rare treasures. At Ferrand, they become jewels."

Morgeot was for a long time the flagship appellation of Chassagne. Always well representative of the style of this village. The wines are more or less rich depending on the clay content of the soil and the work of the winegrower. The origins of the name of the appellation seem to come from the Latin Margo which means "edge, border". Morgeot is indeed on the departmental border between the Côte d'Or and the Saône-et-Loire, corresponding to an old Gallo-Roman limit. A magnificent 12th century building built by the monks of Cîteaux located in the heart of the appellation which is falling into ruin. When you see the budgets invested in constructing sheet metal buildings from China, that says a lot about our desire to respect our history.

During history, the village of Meursault has never wanted to claim one or more grands crus. It's a pity because the agronomic potential of its 1er crus has nothing to envy to the prestige of the grands crus of the hill of Montrachet or Corton. If Meursault were to have a grand cru, it would undoubtedly be Les Perrières. It is a powerful, intense wine, a rich and imposing terroir. Located mid-slope like all the best wines in Burgundy, it benefits from the best agronomic conditions.

Often called ‘Baby Grange’ in the world of Penfolds fans, the components of Bin 389 are matured in the same barrels that previously held Grange in their oaken embrace. The nose is lifted, fragrant, and immediately identifiable as classic Penfolds with layers of custard and port-wine dark jelly over hints of coconut and juniper. The palate is a balance of sweet and savory with the 2019 black forest cake profile and black cherry liqueur. It’s substantial and intense, but already delicious.

Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it concludes with a bright, mineral finish.

Domaine Dujac is a highly regarded and critically lauded wine producer based in Burgundy's Morey-Saint-Denis appellation. It makes high-quality wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, ranging from entry-level Bourgogne to wines made from some of the top Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, including Clos de la Roche and Le Chambertin. The domaine was founded in 1968 by Jacques Seysses, who had spent the previous few years travelling around Burgundy learning the craft from the likes of Aubert de Villaine at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Charles Rousseau of Domaine Armand Rousseau. He purchased a small, run-down property in Morey-Saint-Denis and planted some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In the late 20th Century, Dujac expanded its estate, acquiring grand cru plots in Clos de la Roche (the domaine has just under two hectares/five acres here), Clos St-Denis (1.4 hectares/3.4 acres) and in northern Bonnes-Mares (nearly 0.6 hectares/1.5 acres). Dujac has also expanded further afield, taking control of plots in Romanée-Saint-Vivant (0.17 hectares/0.4 acres) and Le Chambertin (almost 0.3 hectares/0.7 acres), in Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin respectively.

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village, one of Leroux’s largest cuvées at 31 barrels, a large proportion sourced from Flagey-Echézeaux, has a fragrant bouquet with white flowers complementing the red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit. The medium-bodied palate displays supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, silky-smooth texture and a tart red cherry and orange peel finish that is quite spicy on the aftertaste. Good potential. 90-92 Neal Martin, Vinous.
