Riper and fatter on the palate but with a balanced generosity that is even across the whole palate. Still in white fruit, agreeably rounded with just a hint of sandalwood from the barrel to finish. The January rains left good moisture in the soil, bud-break came early and canopy growth was rapid and even. A warm but moderate summer followed, with fog mitigating the heat extremes and minimizing dehydration, leading to uniform growth overall.

Brilliant and luminous pale pink sand. A complex and elegant nose, marked by notes of white peach with a beautiful aromatic depth. A well-balanced palate with roundness and freshness. The soft attack gradually gains in intensity and reveals a mosaic of summer fruits and a fine minerality. The finish is saline, zesty and persistent.

Château de Selle pairs well with flambéed or glazed monkfish with vegetables, grilled poultry in a sauce, or fruit desserts.

2018 Duckhorn Merlot Napa Valley Three Palms Vineyard aromas of huckleberry, black cherry, chocolate and fig rise from the glass, followed by hints of graphite, graham cracker, bay leaf and sage. On the mouth-watering palate the flavors are intense and complex, with velvety tannins and voluptuous fruit balanced by earthy undertones and Three Palms’ classic minerality, all of which carry the wine to a rich and remarkably long finish.

Here's a powerfully built wine with mature black plum, underbrush, stewed prune, mint and thyme aromas that waft from the glass. The brawny palate doles out juicy black cherry, milk chocolate and cracked pepper flavors, with a solid tannic backbone

A charme is a Burgundian term for land so rocky that few plants will grow on it. This vineyard originally belonged to the church, and its complex soil composition give low yields of great depth and character. Aged for 2 years in oak barrels, of which 1/3 were new, this is medium-bodied with sweet spice aromas. Pair with salt baked cod.

This wine technically comes from a single plot in L’Ormeau, which is allowed to be labelled as Les Mitans. The vines were planted in two stages but are on average around 50 years old. This is archetypal Volnay, brimming with pretty red fruit and floral touches. The tannic structure is lovely, like a long, chalky layer that coats the palate and stretches the wine to a long, refreshing finish. This is a wine that is easy to love.

Jean-Philippe Fichet is one of Burgundy’s greatest talents—and his wines are every bit as extraordinary as he is. The Fichet wines are always fine and fresh, aromatic on the nose with ripe flavours, soft texture but well balanced with a clean, crisp finish. Always showing well when young and ages gracefully.

The Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts is delicate, more feminine than Meursaults, with aromas of white flowers such as jasmine; aging lets aromas of hazelnuts, honey and caramel appear.

VINEYARD: 0.70 hectares planted in 1955 on a moderate to steep east facing slope at an altitude of about 290 meters. Light pink, gravelly, calcareous soil.
VITICULTURE: Certified organic (Ecocert), Biodynamic methods are used.
WINEMAKING: Gentle pressing followed by ambient yeast fermentation.
AGING: Aged in oak barrels (33% new) for 12 to 18 months.
BOTTLING: Minimal SO2 added at bottling.

Limpid and brilliant, it exhibits silvery highlights. Its bouquet has strong aromas of ripe grapes. The wine is redolent of toasted almonds and hazelnuts in a floral (mayflower, elder, bracken, lime, verbena) and mineral (flint) setting. Butter, honey, and citrus fruits are also present. On the palate it is rich and fat with a cheerful and appealing taste of hazelnut. Unctuousness and freshness are in silky balance. Long and structured, it needs time to mature - this is a great white wine for laying down.

A wine of great finesse, distinguished and elegant. The color is pure and bright, with light glints of white gold. The aromas evoke trees in bloom and white flesh fruit, like white peaches. With age, the aromas evolve towards almond and lightly grilled dried fruit. On the palate, there is a sensation of fresh silkiness. Long and persistent in the aftertaste, ending on an exceptional wealth of flavors, both floral and fruity. The wines from the Côte d'Or mature well and have good balance between sugar and acid.

Supply: this wine comes from grapes and musts purchased from supply partners according to rigorous specifications.

Harvest: grapes harvested by hands in open-work crates. If necessary, a careful sorting is proceeded.

Vinification: total destemming. In accordance with the terroir and the profile of the vintage, we do 2 to 3 weeks of fermentation and maceration in small open vats, marked by punching of the cap and pumping-over. The yeasts are indigenous (natural). Pressing in a vertical press. Separation of the ends of the presses based on tasting.

Ageing:  in oak barrels including 20 to 25% of new barrels.
The ageing lasts between 14 to 16 months.

Origin of the wood: oak grown in French high forest.

Throughout the ageing process, decisions are taken only after careful tasting evaluation. The data obtained is completed through technical analysis. As with every other Joseph Drouhin wine, absolute priority is given to the true expression of terroir and character of the vintage.

The revival of the Blue Spot marks the end of a 56 year wait since the last recorded bottling of the old Blue Spot in 1964. Building on the bourbon and sherry maturation the new Blue Spot also contains whiskey aged in carefully selected Madiera casks, made in a cooperage in the north of Portugal and then sent to the island of Madeira. Bottled at cask strength, with an annual changing of abv from batch to batch.

From Chassagne's northern sector bordering Puligny, near the Grand Cru Criots Bâtard-Montrachet, this premier cru Chardonnay grows on 45-year-old vines with south-southeast exposure. Aged on fine lees for over a year in 15% new oak, the wine shows ripe concentration: lemon curd, frangipane, baking spices, white pepper. Full-bodied and textured, intensely flavored with the mineral spine and richness that defines the appellation's best whites.

This Puligny-Montrachet has pronounced licorice and acacia blossom aromas. Quite a succulent wine with good concentration and fine tannins that give it precise contours. Excellent clarity in the long, straight and animating finish. Drink or hold.

Paso Robles is one of California's most pastoral domains. Its name roughly translates to passageway of oaks, and indeed majestic trees mark the landscape. Amongst the rolling hills and native habitat lie manicured vineyards, where ideal soil exists for farming Cabernet Sauvignon. Dry, warm conditions are typical, yet evenings are chilled by a breeze from the pacific just 18 miles to the west, allowing the fruit to ripen into luxurious, at nearly 1,000 feet, soils are elevated sea beds where shell fossils are often found.
