Sauvignon Blanc Domaine Chavet Menetou Salon La Cote

This Menetou-Salon from Domaine Chavet is light yellow in color. In smell and taste aromas of citrus, nectarine,
 peach and flowers. Delicious as an aperitif, with fish, quiches but of course also with goat's cheese.

The Chavet family has been making wine since the 17th century. In the heart of Menetou-Salon, between
Sologne and Sancerre, they manage 23 hectares of vineyards. The sauvignon blanc and pinot noir grapes
 grow here on Kimmeridgian soil; a limestone soil with centuries-old fossil deposits. The Sauvignon Blanc 
grape originally comes from the Loire and thrives here. After alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks,
 the wine is bottled young and marketed.
