Sancerre Pierre Prieur & Fils Les Coinches

A plot located between Verdigny and Chavignol in a limestone terroir (caillottes); the vine is planted on a very steep slope and grown on terraces.  The steep slope forces us to bring in the harvested grapes with the help of a winch.

Tasting notes

Very fine on the nose, opening with notes of pears accompanied by touches of white flowers and a lovely minerality. The palate is precise with tension and finesse and a long mineral finish which evokes the limestone terroir.
