White Wine Diamantakis Petali Assyrtiko

Diamantakis Winery Petali is a white wine made from an Assyrtiko grape – one of the most loved white grape in Greece. Originally from Santorini, an island in the Cyclades, Assyrtiko made its way into the mainlands of Greece, and now is cultivated in Crete. The island is perfect for this grape as it’s one of not many varietals that can thrive in hot, dry climates.

Petali Assyrtiko is full of citrus flavours, aromas of flowers, and Cretan herbs like oregano and thyme. It’s crisp and rich in acidity, making it an incredibly fresh wine. Three months spent on the lees gives the wine extra depth and complexity, resulting in a lengthy finish with some bright minerality.
