Produced from 100% Tempranillo, this native varietal is fermented and aged in oak for at least 12 months with an additional six months resting in bottle, prior to release. El Coto Crianza is exceptionally balanced with layers of fresh raspberry, cherry, spice and toasted oak, building to a silky finish. Perfectly complements a variety of meats and cheeses, especially jamon.

To make the ZIOBAFFA Rosso they harvest the perfectly ripe Sangiovese and Syrah grapes around the middle of September from an organic vineyard located very close to the Tuscan coast.

The harvest is made by hand and fermented in the Estate cellar dedicated to organic wines, where the wine is further rened. They give time to the Sangiovese in order to become softer and then they balance the bright acidity blending it with a small portion of a juicy Syrah, so they obtain a very mild and elegant Tuscan classic rich of black cherry and blackberry avors that meet up with smooth tannins.

The long, juicy aftertaste echoes fruit, spice and earth notes. This is also a perfect clean summer red if served fresh.

The vines at this winery are tended without the use of chemicals or synthetic fertilizers and the wine is fermented naturally, without any sulfur dioxide. This medium–bodied wine displays earthy aromas that are interlaced with mild pepper, black plum, raspberry, blueberry and violet flavors.

Tuscany has had a love affair with the Sangiovese based blends for centuries. While Sangiovese is planted all over central Italy, it reaches its highest highs in Tuscany. Frico Rosso is based on a blend of Sangiovese and small amounts of the indigenous grapes Canialolo, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino. This is the perfect balance of crisp tart cherry and the wonderful herb notes found in great Tuscan red wine. Frico Rosso pairs extremely well with grilled meats, hard cheeses and salami.

From the dense fog and brilliant sun to the high winds, cool coastal air, and diverse terrain, the California coast presents many challenges. And yet it's still one of the best areas to grow grapes to produce a bold Red Blend. Each of the vineyards chosen for this wine offers the best expression of its respective appellation, carefully blended to achieve balance, complexity, and richness of flavor.

Full and dense, with strong black & blue fruit notes up front from the Petite Sirah, complemented by bright red, slightly candies fruit in the background from the Zinfandel. The darkly toasted oak ties it all together along with a slightly sweet finish.

Apothic Red is the bold and intriguing red blend that launched the Apothic legacy, featuring a mix of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, and zinfandel wine grapes. This California wine indulges the senses with notes of black cherry, vanilla and mocha and a character all its own. This smooth and rich red blend is medium bodied and pairs with wherever the night may take you. Apothic Red is best enjoyed with plenty of wine glasses to share.

Bota Box RedVolution reveals rich, jammy aromas of black cherry, plum and dark berry. Extending into lush flavors of dark fruit, spice and vanilla, this smooth, full-bodied wine culminates in a juicy, fruit-focused finish. Our RedVolution pairs well with a variety of dishes including grilled lamb, wild mushroom pizza, and penne pasta with fresh tomato sauce.

Bright red cherries, lavendar, thyme, spice box.  Ripe cherry palate, some strawberry; juicy and easy drinking.  Ercole, "Hercules", is made by a generations-old cooperative of local growers in the Monferrato area of Piedmont.  This easy-going Liter sized bottle is meant for sharing juicy fruit with friends with nearly any food.  100% Barbera.  Fermented in concrete. 

Bright red-ruby. Aromas of violet and gun-powder have lovely lift and precision. Very juicy and firm-edged but fresh, with a bright floral note and harmonious zingy acidity on the long nicely delineated finish. Aged six months in used oak barrels.

Made for early drinking, this wine is packed with juicy fruit characters – Cherry and Blackberry. The palate is full bodied with good, supple tannins and a long finish.

Lambrusco is the quintessential sparkling aperitivo of the Emilia Romagna area of Italy and a great pre-dinner start to every occasion. Frico Lambrusco brings this central Italian wine tradition to life in a can! This Lambrusco is vibrant, fresh with a kiss of sweetness and a wonderful tart finish.

Vigna Madre means "Mother Vine", this is the name that Giannicola Di Carlo gave to his Estate because the entire property is certified organic and the winery itself has been built following "Bio-Architecture" principles.

For the Di Carlo family, every aspect of the business must be in total respect of Mother Nature and the people that live on it.

The vineyards are grown using the most restricted organic procedures, the wine is made following the biodynamic rhythms and the winery has been built to be the perfect environment not only for the wine but also for the people working in it.

Natural sunlight is forced down to the heart of the winery, bright colors are used underground to stimulate workers chakras, classical music is played in the barrel room to improve the aging of the wine. This wine is also Vegan because they don't use any casein, albumin or bone gelatin to refine or to filter the wine.

On the palate this organic wine is harmonious, round and easy to drink. Perfect with pizza, pasta, mature cheeses, grilled and roasted meats, and barbeque. (from the vintner)

Inspired by Two Travelers and the Axe

On the label: Many misfortunes may befall those of intrepid spirits, but The Fableist trusts that those who dare face danger with a friend can share the delicious prize in the end.
We included three Tempranillo vineyard sites in this vintage. We made the pick call based on the taste of the fruit: a balance between ripeness, tannin and acidity. Once at the winery, we de-stemmed the fruit 100%. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeast, and given one pump-over daily during fermentation. We pressed the grapes and sent to barrels after 3 weeks on the skins, allowing malolactic fermentation to occur naturally. The barrels were 15% new American oak and 85% neutral oak.

This vibrant Shiraz shows upfront plum and blackcurrant aromas with notes of violets, cloves and dried herbs. The palate is juicy and dimensional with a well-integrated tannin structure and an elegant, lingering finish.

It’s safe to say that this wine is the most representative wine from the Casanova estate. Its name 'Nero,' derives from "vino nero" which is what Tuscan red wines were traditionally called. On the nose it expresses hints of blackberries, blueberries, and ripe cherries with slight spicy notes. Upon tasting it displays a full body with a very immersive character. The tannins are velvety and in perfect harmony with extraordinary freshness. The excellent acidity makes for a wonderful finish.
