The wine has a pale yellow color, with bright greenish tints. The nose is intense and delicate with hints of apple. The palate is dry and mineral with pleasant acidity and salinity, persistent and harmonious.

This wine pairs well with fish and seafood. Very suitable for by-the-glass consumption.

Even the scent of sun-parched dry earth comes to mind. Then there is coffee and dark chocolate, and – surprisingly - white pepper.

In the mouth firm tannins paired with juicy acidity give this wine a beautiful structure that embraces its warm flavors and powerful elegance. Definitely mouth filling while the memory of dark chocolate lingers towards the finish.

The long finish makes me yearn for the next sip and the next. Of course Sangiovese typically is meant to be enjoyed with food, but with this one I seem to not need any, I could gladly go on savoring, discovering new layers with each sip.

Winemaker’s Notes

A fluorescent ruby core and a flashing vermilion rim pour into the glass gracefully. Immediate aromatic complexities abound, rife with notes of black cherry, hibiscus, rose petal, a touch of strawberry, caramel apple and confectioner’s chocolate. The entry dances across the palate with framboise, pomegranate and baking spices, enhanced by the soft texture and ripples of acidity. The piquant finish continues the flow of energy as the acid brings together notes of amaro and black cherry, yet again.
