This wine will make a particularly good accompaniment to less intensely
flavoured meats and poultry – rabbit, turkey or chicken for example – and will of course
go well with cheese.

As is typical for right-bank Bordeaux, we have a bold expression of Merlot on the palate
here, with a mouthfeel that is both fleshy and silky.

Occhetti is ruby red in color with garnet hues, typical of the Nebbiolo grape variety. The nose is elegant with notes of raspberries accompanied by hints of roses and licorice. The palate is full and harmonious with a lengthy tannin-rich finish.

The wine is a deep purple colour. On the nose, it shows ripe forest fruits, and the mouth is medium- to full-bodied. It pairs very well with hard cheeses such as Comté and red meats. Cellaring: Up to 6 years.

Crafted from 100% premium Tempranillo and a passionate winemaking philosophy. The result is a fresh and lively fruit expression of the variety, that is undeniably Campo Viejo.

Intense ruby red color. Aromas characterized by hints of ripe red fruits, and hints of spices. On the palate it is warm, soft, and full with strong but velvety integrated tannins. Good persistence.

Younger, more accessible version of the Brunello, but already with an excellent structure and a great personality, Rosso di Montalcino is a very important wine for Tenuta Il Poggione.

Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes, sourced in the estate's younger vineyards, Rosso di Montalcino is aged in large casks and barriques before a period of bottle aging.

The wood aging, although not obligatory for the production of Rosso di Montalcino, tones down the tannins typical of a young Sangiovese and gives this red wine a complexity of aroma and structure that make it a great "Young Brunello".

The fruit is from young vines on the Montalcino Estate that would otherwise go into Rosso di Montalcino and the two Sant Antimo wines.

A fantastic value, the wine displays sweet cherry, red plum, flowers, leather, and a hint of dusty earth. The French varietals add plushness to the palate that nicely rounds out the Sangiovese.

Libertà is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. This wine expresses great balance between the soft tannins of Merlot and the aromatic complexity of Cabernet Franc.

The 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon brims with black currant, blackberry, some sage and cedar underscored with mocha and tobacco threads. This wine’s lush core of bright blackberry, dark cherry and graphite are complemented by expressive earthy and toffee notes on the mid-palate. The finish is full of well rounded fine-grained tannins and fresh, balanced acidity making this Cabernet the perfect pairing for port-braised beef short ribs topped with mint leaves.

Ruby red with violet notes, along with a nose of intense red fruit notes, with light hints of spices and chocolate. On the palate, it is full bodied with mature tannins and notes of spices and chocolate.

Serve cold! 2021 strikes a wonderful balance between the fleshier, warmer 2020 vintage and the more angular, high-toned 2018 and 2019 versions. Riper red berry fruit sings over the tart finish resulting in a pleasurable, quenching crunch. A perfected adult version of Sour Patch Kids candy. A floaty fleshiness develops by the second glass - which, by the way, arrives quickly - with some mellowing watermelon notes on the mid-palate.

This is Grenache on steroids; intense notes of ripe cherry and leather emit from the bouquet setting the tone. The first sip is a burst of blackberry and plum fruit upfront, then woody and vanilla on the back end. Tannins are gently firm, providing support, medium length on finish.
