APPELLATION: Côtes du Rhône Villages Seguret
REGION: Southern Rhône
GRAPES: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah

TASTING NOTES: Pure & refreshing, this rosé is crafted from a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. Aromas of wild strawberries and jasmine blossoms exude gracefully from the glass upon pouring, already hinting of the flavors to come. While sipping you’re greeted with a rush of flavorful complexity and a long, lingering finish. You’ll note an elegant mix of luscious white cherries, mouth-watering wild strawberries, fresh lime peel, and delicate flowers, all balanced out with a light stony edge and a gentle acidity. Enjoy this on its own as you savor the last remaining summer days, or enjoy with a light meal, such as grilled fish and veggies. Our favorite way to enjoy this wine? Enjoying a sunset paired with good company, fresh Castelvetrano olives, and a simple cheese platter.

About the Producer

When the McKinlay family purchased the property for Domaine de Mourchon, they became stewards of the land. At the time, Walter McKinlay and his wife were living and working in Scotland, but looking to retire somewhere with sunnier climates; as francophiles, they were immensely attracted to the idea of somewhere in the South of France. And when they found this property -- a rugged spot of limestone with a panoramic view of the valley below -- they immediately fell in love and got to work.

Today, Domaine de Mourchon is organic certified and uses eco-friendly viticulture to take care of their vines. Most grapes are hand-harvested at night, ensuring the juice stays cool and fresh between the vineyard and their gravity-fed, hillside winery. Mourchon wines focus on quality for good value, and certainly over-deliver on that promise.
