A Gangster Duck ain't afraid to stray from the flock. We borrowed from a few different beer styles to create a tasty red with a style all its own. It smells like an IPA bursting with fancy hops but has a smooth malty finish. And just enough of a bite.
Beach Night is a slightly hazy, single IPA with a light body and clean, refreshing finish. The mild malt bill paired, with a generous amount of dry hops, gives aromas and flavors of stone fruits and citrus (think grapefruit/apricot/orange) balanced by very light bitter notes of grass and pine. Perfect for those cool, summer nights by the water.
In honor of the Norman Bird sanctuary 75th anniversary we have brewed the special edition beer to support their mission of sparking peoples curiosity to explore steward and find peace and joy in nature. A 10% of proceeds from this beer are donated to the Norman Bird sanctuary. “As Aquidneck Island natives, the Norman Bird Sanctuary holds a special place for both Matt and I,” said Katie Gray, Owner of Ragged Island. “As kids, we explored the hiking trails, attended camps, and spent countless hours trying to climb the grease pole during Harvest Fair. We can both link our love of hiking and outdoor recreation to time spent at the Sanctuary. Creating Hanging Rock IPA is a natural way to celebrate our passion for the NBS with our community.”
